100% Tempranillo/La Rioja: Estate owned and vineyards leased on long term contracts from 1950-1990. Calcareous clay soils. Rigorous manual sorting before destemming. Maceration lasts 20-30 days. 14 months in American & French oak barrels in underground cellars, followed by 5 months in stainless steel for natural fining and settling. Once bottled, it is aged underground for a minimum of 8 months. We visited the winery & know the owner.
