80% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, Graciano & Mazuelo/La Rioja: Estate-owned goblet-trained old vineyards from 1930-1975. Calcareous clay. Berries are destemmed and optically sorted, but not crushed. Fermentation carried out in 10,000L oak vats without temperature control. Aged for a minimum of 48 months at the winery in barrels and vats of varying sizes and age. Oak is a blend of 80% French & 20% American. Aged in bottle for 36 months before release. We visited the winery & know the owner.
